Bracketology
The projected 2026-27 NCAA Tournament seed field from roster-based ratings — who's in and what seed line they land on. The 76-team field is S-curve seeded (with conference protection so a league's best teams land in different regions). This is a projected seeding, not a prediction of who wins each game.
Projecting the seed field…
How it works: 1 automatic bid per conference (projected league-tournament champ) plus the best at-large teams to 76. The 24 lowest fill the 12-game Opening Round; the field of 64 is seeded 1–16, four per line, snaked across the four regions. Ratings are on the SRS (point-margin) scale — the seed order follows the rating order, so no game outcomes are simulated.
