Privacy Policy

The Depth Chart (thedepthchartcbb.com) is a college basketball analytics site. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. Questions: thedepthchartcbb@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account information. If you create an account we store your email address and a password (handled and stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us; we do not receive your Google password.
• Profile details you choose to add, such as a username, avatar image, favorite team and the topics you're interested in.
• Things you post, such as forum topics, replies, comments, fan-site articles and the teams or players you follow. Posts are visible to other visitors.
• Subscription and payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, its status and renewal dates; we never see or store your full card number.
• Usage information. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies or build a profile of you across other sites.
• Information stored in your browser. The site keeps your sign-in session and preferences (such as light or dark theme and saved filters) in your browser's local storage, and caches pages so the site loads faster and works offline.

How we use it

• To run your account, sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To provide the features of your plan and manage your subscription.
• To show your profile and posts in the community features.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and enforce our community rules.
• To understand which pages are used so we can improve the site.
• To reply when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the site, and only what they need: Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Google (only if you choose Sign in with Google). We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile and account data are deleted. Payment records may be kept by Stripe as required for tax and accounting.

Your choices

• You can edit your profile at any time, and delete your account from your account settings.
• You can sign in without Google by using an email and password.
• You can clear your browser's storage to remove saved preferences.
• To request a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, email thedepthchartcbb@gmail.com.

Children

The Depth Chart is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
