On/Off & WOWY

Reconstructed from NCAA play-by-play lineups. Players β€” each player's on-court vs off-court impact (sample-adjusted). Lineups β€” how each five-man unit actually performed together. Trios β€” which three-man combinations move the needle, aggregated across the units they share.

Impact β€” the one number to start with: the on/off swing (per 100 possessions) adjusted for sample size and ranked vs the field. Tier comes from the vs Field percentile.

Raw β€” the unadjusted swing (On Net βˆ’ Off Net). A qualifying player needs 300+ on and 200+ off possessions; below that, Impact shows β€œβ€”β€ because the sample is too thin to trust.
On Net / Off Net β€” the team's net rating (points scored minus allowed, per 100) with the player On the court and Off it. Raw impact is On Net βˆ’ Off Net.
On / Off ORtg β€” points the team scores per 100 possessions. DRtg β€” points it allows per 100 (lower is better defense).
On/off is measured relative to a player's own teammates and isn't adjusted for opponent β€” a good player on a weak team can post a big swing. Read it as context, not proof.
Seasons on file: 2020-21, 2024-25, 2025-26. On/off needs substitution-level play-by-play (who was on the floor each possession), which the NCAA feed only carries for recent seasons β€” the 2021-22 through 2023-24 pulls came back partial and are not shown. Each new season is added as it is played.
